Another star kid is stepping into Telugu cinema. Senior actor Srikanth’s daughter Medha Meka is making her debut as a heroine with a fresh love story from Mythri Movie Makers. The production house officially introduced Medha along with newcomer Jai Jasti as the lead pair of the film, announced under the hashtag #MythriInLove.
What Mythri Announced
Mythri Movie Makers shared the announcement poster today with a sweet note introducing the young pair. “Introducing the two who have our hearts – #JaiJasti and #MedhaMeka! Today, you know their names. Tomorrow, you’ll see them and fall in love with them too!” the post read.
The makers have also revealed that the faces of the lead pair will be unveiled tomorrow, October 12, at 10:26 AM. “The love story unfolds tomorrow at 10:26 AM!” Mythri added. The poster carries the line “Revealing Faces of Love,” keeping the curiosity alive until the big reveal.
The Team Behind the Film
The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, with Anil Yerneni as co-producer. Prithvi Vanam is directing the film, while Mahesh Babu P is credited as the creator.
Mahesh Babu P’s name adds weight to the project. The director is known for Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty and Ram Pothineni’s Andhra King Taluka, both films appreciated for their fresh and feel-good treatment. His involvement as creator suggests the film will be a breezy, youthful romance.
Not Medha’s First Time in Front of the Camera
This is Medha’s first film as a heroine, but not her first time on screen. As a child, she played the younger version of Anushka Shetty in Gunasekhar’s Rudhramadevi, alongside her brother Roshan, who played young Rana Daggubati. Medha is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and has played basketball at the national level.
She comes from a complete film family. Her father Srikanth has been part of Telugu cinema for over three decades, and her mother Ooha was also a popular heroine in the 1990s.
Following Brother Roshan’s Path
Medha’s debut comes at a good time for the Meka family. Her brother Roshan Meka started his journey as a lead with Nirmala Convent and won the SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut in Telugu. He later starred in Pelli SandaD and has earned very good recognition with his recent work. Now, with a big banner like Mythri backing her debut, Medha has a strong start of her own.
All eyes are now on tomorrow’s first look, which will finally reveal the new pair.
